ABOUT OUR FESTIVAL
Our festival is centred on seafood, fishing and fun for all the family. You can indulge your palate with our delicious seafood platters or join in the many activities set out in our programme. Stroll through the village to see the thatched cottages that line the main street, call into St. Peter’s Church and admire the wonderful stained glass windows, stop off in the Stella Maris Centre and appreciate the Exhibitions of Photos and Art in The Loft & Bird Rock Café.

Wander on down to the harbour to see a fishing boat and its catch of fish, scallops, crabs or lobster. Book sea angling trip on one of the many angling boats or take a trip out to the Saltees Islands - a haven for bird Watchers. Browse through the small village stores, the harbour stalls or sit and rest a while and enjoy the comings and goings in the marina - watch out for our harbour seals who love to follow the incoming boats in the hope of landing a free supper and spot our new Tamar class RNLB Killarney.Call over to the lifeboat house where the Kilmore Artists group have a wonderful exhibition of their paintings. From here you can take a stroll on our new walkway extending from the back of the pier over to Forlorn Point which forms part of the oldest rock formation in Europe. Make sure you bring the kids who will enjoy our marvellous playground an picnic area which will entertain and amuse them for hours. A visit to the Memorial Garden is a must, a place to remember all those lost at sea. From here, meander onto Ballyteige Burrow with its beautiful bay and follow the well worn pathways through the dunes - a haven of rare flora and fauna and admire the setting sun over Balyteige Bay. So come and join us for the festival, we offer you a truly unique experience and we’re confident that once you’ve had a taste you’ll want to come back again and again.
